郎朗新专辑Piano Book
World-famous Chinese pianist Lang Lang released his new album (专辑) Piano Book in New York on Tuesday, April 9, 2019. He wants to share his thoughts on piano playing and music education.
The album consists of 41 popular pieces, such as Beethoven's Fur Elise, Debussy's Clair de Lune, and traditional Chinese music—The Jasmine Flower. The album records Lang's own journey of piano training since childhood.
Piano Book has already become the fastest-selling classical album of 2019. It has become the top classical album in China, the United States, Japan, France and Britain, according to its distributor (批发商) Universal Music Group. Even to Lang's own surprise, the album also entered the top 10 of iTunes' pop charts. How wonderful it was!
"These pieces have been my favorites in the album and they encouraged me to be a pianist at the first place," said Lang Lang at a meeting with the press in Midtown Manhattan. "It felt like dreaming during the past week," said Lang Lang, the 36yearold pianist. "This shows that people appreciate good music regardless of its type."
Lang also hopes that this album can encourage millions of piano learners around the world. He also wants to improve their skills and make them truly love the piano.
